Morning shuttle program:
Holy Names Academy offers morning shuttles serving five regions of Seattle and beyond.

Each route will have the capacity for 14 students. We accept registrations for each route on a first-come, first-served basis. Student shuttles run each morning, including late starts, half-days, and testing days. The HNA Morning Shuttle will not run in the event of inclement weather that affects the school day schedule.
Please email the Business Office to register for Morning Shuttle service and for all the specifics regarding routes, pick-up locations, and times. Please note: families who have not registered and paid for morning shuttle services will not be permitted to ride the shuttle.

Holy Names Academy facilitates a robust carpool network for families. New families will have the opportunity to join the Carpool Directory at 9th Grade Registration in early March.

Incoming 9th-Grade Students for Fall 2022:

The following steps outline the typical admission process. To provide for the health and safety of Holy Names Academy students, faculty, staff, and visitors throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, all admissions events and requirements are subject to change.

  1. If you missed the in-person Fall Open House on October 24, 2021, we invite you to watch a virtual HNA Open House Webinar (held Oct. 19, 2020) to see what life is like "Under the Dome."

  2. View a 40-minute Financial Aid and Admissions Information Webinar (held Nov. 16, 2020, on Zoom): Click here to watch.

  3. Holy Names Academy is hosting prospective students in Fall 2021. Click here to sign up for a day at HNA. 

  4. Complete the Student Application for Admission to Holy Names Academy. The application deadline for the Fall of 2022 will be Thursday, January 6, 2022. The application fee is $35. You can create an account with PowerSchool and complete your application here. 

  5. Register for the HNA Scholarship/ Placement Exam which will be given on December 11 & 12, 2021. Registration is available here. 

  6. Beginning in September 2021, submit the Confidential School Report Fillable Form and Confidential Teacher Evaluation Fillable Form (PDF) to the student's current principal. Ask her/him to complete the form and forward it directly to Holy Names Academy (due on Thursday, January 6, 2022). NOTE: This is a common form used by several Seattle-area Catholic high schools and may be photocopied for multiple uses.In addition, your principal should forward directly to HNA a copy of the following:

    • Official transcript/permanent record

    • Standardized test scores from current/previous years

    • Report cards from the preceding two years

    • Grades/progress reports from the current year 

 

Transfer Students:

The admissions process for transfer students is the same as for incoming 9th-grade students (see above). It is recommended that applicants for the 10th grade submit standardized test scores (from within the last two years) and take the HNA Scholarship/ Placement Exam. Applicants for the 11th grade are not required to take the exam but are encouraged to include their most recent standardized exam scores with their application.
